This is a Unidirectional HDMI connection. For correct operation, the connector marked "Source" must be connected to the signal transmitter (console, computer, DVD/Blu-Ray player...) and the connector marked "Display" to the receiver (screen, monitor...).
The HDMI 2.0 High Speed Active Optical Cable uses fibre optic technology to carry the HDMI digital signal. This means that the signal can be carried much further than with a traditional copper cable (up to 100m) and reduces the risk of EMI/RFI interference. AOC HDMI cables also have dedicated copper power conductors inside, so no external power supply is needed. Perfect for long video distances using HDMI-SDI converters, it converts the SDI signal into an HDMI video signal and/or vice versa by using external converters. It is the ideal solution for connecting devices with HDMI output (computers, HDMI cameras...) to professional SDI equipment. Also for connecting two SDI devices via two HDMI-SDI converters using the HDMI cable to carry the signal over the long haul.
Lengths of 30 meters and longer include the chipset signal equalizer on the connectors for compatibility with as many devices as possible.
