This is a Unidirectional HDMI connection. For correct operation, the connector marked "Source" must be connected to the signal transmitter (console, computer, DVD/Blu-Ray player...) and the connector marked "Display" to the receiver (screen, monitor...).
The High Speed HDMI 2.0 active optical cable uses fiber optic technology to carry the HDMI digital signal. This means that the signal can be carried much further than with a traditional copper cable (up to 100m) and reduces the risk of EMI/RFI interference. HDMI AOC cables also have dedicated copper power conductors inside, so no external power source is required.
Perfect for long distance video using HDMI-SDI converters, the SDI signal is converted to an HDMI video signal and/or vice versa by using external converters. It is the ideal solution for connecting devices with HDMI output (computers, HDMI cameras...) to professional SDI equipment. Also to connect two SDI equipments through two HDMI-SDI converters using the HDMI cable to make the transport of the signal during the long distance.
Lengths of 30 meters and longer include the chipset signal equalizer on the connectors for compatibility with as many devices as possible.
