The AOC ARMORED HDMI 2.0 active optical cable is the robust version of the high-speed HDMI connection made of fibre optic conductors.
It uses fibre optic technology to carry the HDMI digital signal. This means that the signal can be carried much further (up to 100m) than with a traditional copper cable and reduces the risk of EMI/RFI interference.
The cables also have AOC HDMI cables also have dedicated copper power conductors inside, so no external power supply is needed.
Underneath the cover there is an ultra-resistant metal mesh to protect the inner fibre optic conductors from any deformation that the cable may suffer. It is perfect for use in extreme environments where the cable may be stepped on or bitten by rodents as the inner metal mesh will protect the conductors and ensure proper operation.
The outer jacket is made of TPU and provides the cable with various properties against extreme situations. The jacket provides good environmental weathering performance, protection against ultraviolet radiation from sunlight, low temperature flexibility down to -40°C, resistance to water absorption, acid and oil resistance, outstanding abrasion resistance, good chemical resistance and flame retardancy.
Supports 4K UHD resolutions at 60Hz. Allows the signal to be transported at full 4:4:4:4 colour resolution without any chrominance undersampling, at all lengths.
Ideal for long distances of video signal using HDMI-SDI converters. It converts the SDI signal into an HDMI video signal and/or vice versa by using external converters. It is the perfect solution to connect devices with HDMI output (computers, cameras...) to professional SDI equipment. Also for connecting two SDI devices via two HDMI-SDI converters using the HDMI cable to carry the signal over the long haul.

This is a unidirectional HDMI Unidirectional. For correct operation, the connector marked "Source" must be connected to the signal transmitter (computer, console, DVD/Blu-Ray player...) and the connector marked "Display" to the receiver (screen, monitor, projector...).
